Westmoreland Tied For First After Two Rounds at Rice Intercollegiate

Kyle Westmoreland is in a tie for first place after the first two rounds of the Rice Intercollegiate in Houston, Texas. Westmoreland, who is tied with Eric Chun of Northwestern, shot a 2-under par 70 in the first round and a one-under par 71 in the second round on the par-72, 7,184-yard Westwood Golf Club.
Westmoreland was the only Air Force player under par for the day. Freshman Blake Edwards, playing in AFA's top 5 for the first time in his career, sits in a tie for 13th place with a one-over par total of 145. Senior Caleb Leestma is tied for 69th (155), junior Andrew Hoops is tied for 72nd (156) and sophomore Blake Jones is in 76th place (159).
The Falcons are in 11th place after shooting a 20-over par total of 596. The final round of the tournament begins Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. (CT).
