"I feel good about getting though day two of the event," Wyoming Director of Golf Joe Jensen said. "It has been a lot of work, but the staff here has been excellent and the golf course in great shape. I feel better about the Cowboys. I am pleased with the way Eddie played a solid second round. He got off to a decent start and kept it going. I would like him to continue his solid play and put together three good rounds. I am also very happy with how Kamrin came back and played a lot better today. We are still not as sharp as I would like us to be and we are still making some metal mistakes, but for the most part I like what I see and I know there are good things there."
Following Stewart and Allen's rounds was senior Clinton Boutelle who improved by three strokes between rounds carding a 75 (+3) to finish tied for 45th place with a two-round score of 151 (+7). "We are only seven shots out of eighth place and that is not insurmountable in one round," Jensen said. "Ahead of us is pretty bunched up and I would like to have another round of improvement. If we can improve tomorrow I think we have a good chance of moving up the leaderboard. I want us to just keep improving from day to day."
Third and final round play of the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate will begin with tee times at 7:20 PT on Sunday morning.
