Nevada Ties for 13th at Fresno Lexus Classic

FRESNO, Calif. – The Nevada men’s golf team finished tied for 13th at the Fresno Lexus Classic, hosted by Fresno State, on Tuesday.
Juniors Brian Knoll and Ryan Mulvany led the Pack all tournament long, and finished the tournament tied for 44th with a four-over 220. Knoll shot a team-low 68 in the first round and finished with rounds of 81 and 71. Mulvany shot rounds of 71, 70, and 79.
Sophomore Andrew Cornella finished tied for 52nd after shooting a 72 in the last round. Sophomore Gustavo Chuang finished the tournament tied for 68th and sophomore Taylor Knoll finished tied for 77th. Freshman Kit Carson Tied for 81st.
As a team, Nevada shot a 10-over 370 for the last round, and finished the tournament with a 21-over 1,101. Nevada tied with Sacramento State for 13th.
Top-ranked California won the tournament with a 43-under 1,037. Cal’s Michael Kim won the individual race with a 16-under 200 for the tournament.
Nevada will compete in the National Invitational Tournament in Tucson, Ariz. beginning on March 16th.
