Falcons in Fifth Place After Two Rounds at Cougar Classic

The Air Force men's golf team sits in fifth place following the first two rounds of the PING Cougar Classic, hosted by Brigham Young University, in Provo, Utah. The Falcons shot a three-over par 291 in the first round, followed by a six-over par 294 in the second round on the par-72, 7,142-yard Riverside Golf Club.

Sophomore Kyle Westmoreland is tied for seventh individually with an even-par 144 after two rounds. He shot a two-over par 74 in the first round, followed by a two-under par 70 in the second round. Senior Robert Belz is tied for 12th place after shooting a pair of one-over par rounds of 73, while junior Andrew Hoops shot a 70 in the first round and a 77 in the second round for a three-over par total of 147, good for a tie for 17th.

Senior Caleb Leestma (77, 74) and sophomore Philip Colwell (74, 77) are tied for 33rd with a total of seven-over par 151.

Saturday's final round will begin at 9:30 a.m. (MT).
