Fessler Concludes Collegiate Career at NCAA

TEMPE, Ariz. -- In competing in the final round of the NCAA West Regional, senior Rufie Fessler concluded his collegiate career with a top-25 finish.

Fessler matched his round two score and fired one-over par, 71 on the day.

On the tournament, Fessler recorded his second-best performance of the season and shot even par with 210 (68-71-71) while carding 11 birdies.

Fessler finished in the top-10 of individuals who are not on top-five teams that will move onto the finals.

Fessler sat six strokes behind the Dustin Korte of Austin Peay State who will move onto the finals as the lone individual. Korte fired six-under par, 204 (64-71-69).

Fessler was the first Bulldogs since 2011 to represent Fresno State in the NCAA West Regional. In 2011, Bhavik Patel concluded his regional experience with a 34th place finish at five-over par, 221.
