LAS VEGAS ( - The seventh-ranked UNLV men's golf team has been named GolfWeek's Team of the Week while standout Blake Biddle was named national Player of the Week by the same publication.

Head Coach Dwaine Knight's squad earned its most impressive victory of the season last weekend as it rallied to win the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters in Las Vegas. Trailing by six strokes at the start of the final round, the Rebels fired a 5-over-par 293 to finally move past then-fifth-ranked California by one shot. It marked the program's fifth tournament victory in seven outings this year and came against an elite field that included four of the top five and 11 of the top 25 teams in the sport.

The Rebels were led by Biddle, who picked up his first career medalist honor by staging his own impressive rally. The only player to break 70 in the final round, Biddle shot 3-under 69 for a two-stroke win over UCLA's Pontus Widegren and Texas A&M's Tyler Dunlap. Biddle finished at 4-under 212 for the tournament after carding seven birdies on Sunday.
