Lobos' Green Still on Course as Rain Halts Play in Malaysia

In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, University of New Mexico golfer Gavin Green is 1-under par after 10 holes as first-round play was suspended due to rain at the Maybank Malaysian Open on Thursday.
Less than half the players finished the round, but Kiradech Aphibarnrat of Thailand is the clubhouse leader with a 7-under 65. Green is in a large group tied for 43rd.
Other notable scores include: form British Open champion Peter Lawrie is tied for eighth with a 4-under 68; 2011 Masters champion Charl Schwartzel is 8 under through 10 holes; three-time Majors champion Padraig Harrington is tied for 15th with a 3-under 69; and former No. 1 and current No. 3 player in the world Luke Donald is tied for 108th with a 2-over 74.
The tournament runs through Sunday, with the cut scheduled after the second round comes to a close.
