Nevada to Play in the Winchester Classic

AUBURN, Calif. – The Nevada men’s golf team is in Auburn, Calif. to play in the Winchester Classic, co-hosted by UC Davis and Nevada.

Nevada will be one of 11 teams competing in the 54-hole tournament at the 7,144 yard, par-72 Winchester Country club. Nevada will play the first 18-hole round on Friday.

The young Nevada team will be led by Juniors Ryan Mulvany and Brian Knoll. Sophomores Taylor Knoll and Gustavo Chuang, and freshman Kit Carson will make up the rest of the team.

The field of teams include Cal State Fullerton, Idaho, Long Beach State, North Dakota, Oklahoma Christian, Sacramento State, UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara, William Jessup, and fellow Mountain West member Fresno State.

The tournament begins with the first 18-hole round on Friday.
