Coming Up ...
The Air Force golf team travels to Fort Collins, Colo., for the Ram Master Invitational at the par-70, 7,121-yard Fort Collins Country Club on Monday-Tuesday, Sept. 17-18. The 54-hole tournament is slated to begin with two rounds on Monday with an 8 a.m. shotgun start, while the final round will begin Tuesday at 8 a.m.

Fifteen teams are slated to compete in the Ram Master Invitational. They are: Air Force, Boise State, Colorado State, Denver, Northern Colorado, DePaul, Drake, Illinois State, Mercer, Nevada, Northern Iowa, Southern Utah, Weber State, Wichita State and Wyoming.
Last Time Out ...
The Falcons finished tied for fourth place at the 44th annual Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational, posting a total score of two-over par 866 on the par-72, 7,363-yard Blue Course at the Eisenhower Golf Club. The finish is the best for Air Force since winning the tournament in 2005.
Junior Kyle Westmoreland finished fifth overall with a three-round total of 212 (-4) after a final round 73. Westmoreland, who was tied for the lead entering the final round, finished five strokes behind tournament champion Jason Burstyn of Colorado. Junior Philip Colwell fired the team’s best round of the day with a two-under par 70 to finish in a tie for ninth overall at 214 (even).
Senior Andrew Hoops (19/218) and juniors Jack Howard (T44/224) and Ryan Kramer (T74, 233) rounded out the Falcons’ "A" team, while juniors Todd Berglund (T74, 233) and Blake Jones (T74, 233) led the "B" team, which finished 16th.
Eisenhower Blue Course ...
The Eisenhower Golf Club--Blue Course opened in 1959 and is named after former President Dwight D. Eisenhower, who took part in the dedication ceremony. In its recent list of the Best Campus Courses, Golfweek has recognized the Eisenhower Golf Club - Blue Course as one of the best in the nation. The Falcons’ home course checks in at No. 21 on the list and is one of just two Mountain West Conference home courses to be recognized (New Mexico’s Championship Course is listed at No. 16).
Head Coach George Koury ...
This fall, Air Force head coach George Koury enters his 11th season at the helm of the Falcons’ golf program. After serving three seasons as an assistant under legendary coach Gene Miranda, Koury took over the program at the start of the 2002-03 season.
