LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's tennis team avenged a 2012 home loss to New Mexico State by downing the Aggies 6-1 Saturday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

The Rebels improved to 4-0 to start a season for the first time in four years while the Aggies fell to 3-2.

UNLV began the day by winning two of three doubles matches for one team point. Ace Matias and Bernard Schoeman got by Luis Ramirez and Marc Westgate, 8-6, at the top position while Johannes Markel and Tamas Batyi combined for an 8-5 win over Naveen Manivannan and Yannick Blank on court two.

In singles play, UNLV picked up points with four straight-set wins and closed it out by taking the only three-setter of the day.
