Men's Tennis Suffers First Loss Of 2013

PROVO, Utah ( - Making its first road trip of the season, the UNLV men's tennis team lost for the first time, 5-0, playing indoors against No. 50 BYU Friday evening.

The Rebels dropped to 5-1 while the Cougars improved to 8-3.

BYU began by winning both completed doubles matches for a 1-0 lead. In singles, UNLV battled at the top two positions before falling but lost in straight sets on courts three and four. The final two matches were then halted.

Next up, the Rebels head up the road to play at Utah on Saturday starting with doubles at 11 a.m. PT.
