LAS VEGAS ( - The UNLV men's tennis team saw its four-match winning streak snapped in a decisive manner, losing 7-0 to No. 49 Denver on Thursday afternoon at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

UNLV fell to 7-9 overall while the Pioneers evened their record at 8-8.

DU swept three doubles matches to earn a 1-0 lead. Moving to singles play, the hosts only managed to win one set as Tamas Batyi fell to Jens Vorkefeld on court three, 1-6, 6-2, 6-1.

The Rebels will try to rebound on Saturday when they host No. 47 Rice beginning at 2 p.m. The program will be hosting a Campus Kids' Day at Fertitta. Admission is free of charge and free pizza and beverages will be served while supplies last. Following the match, all junior tennis players who bring their own racquet will be invited to take the courts for instruction and drills from the UNLV men's players.

Sponsored by the United States Tennis Association, the Campus Kids' Day program is being offered at more than 100 men's and women's matches across the nation this season and designed to expose more junior players (along with their parents and coaches) to college tennis.
