Men's Tennis Drops MW Match To UNM

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's tennis team lost 6-1 to 55th-ranked New Mexico on Sunday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
The Rebels fell to 7-12 and 1-2 in the Mountain West while the Lobos improved to 15-6 and 2-1 in league play.
UNM swept three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead.
In singles play, the Lobos got five straight-set victories to clinch it. UNLV's only point came at the top of the lineup where Rene Ruegamer downed Jadon Phillips 5-7, 7-6, 1-0 (10-4).
Next up, the Rebels host their home finale on Tuesday beginning with doubles play at 10 a.m. Admission is free of charge. As part of Senior Day, three players will be honored before the match and fans can enjoy complimentary coffee and doughnuts while supplies last.
