Bulldog Tennis Ranked in Initial ITA Poll

FRESNO, Calif. -- The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has announced its first rankings of the 2013 dual match tennis season with both Fresno State men's and women's teams earning spots in the top 75.

On the men's side, the Bulldogs will begin the spring season No. 50 in the polls. First-year head coach Evan Austin will look to continue excellence on the courts as the 'Dogs won the WAC and finished No. 37 in the ITA a season ago.

For the women, the 'Dogs enter the 2013 dual match season ranked No. 60 in the polls. First-year head coach Ryan Stotland is at the helm of the 'Dogs team that finished No. 57 last year and runner up in the WAC.

Both Bulldog tennis squads are the second highest ranked Mountain West programs with Boise State ranked ahead at No. 38 on the men's side and UNLV ranked ahead at T-No. 50 on the women's side.
