Saturday's Tennis Match Against Texas Tech Moved Indoors

FORT WORTH, Texas - With temperatures expected to dip and high winds in the forecast Saturday, TCU has moved the 1 p.m. showdown against Texas Tech indoors at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
The indoor facility is located in the southwest corner of the Friedman Tennis Center. Admission is free and fans can enjoy free pizza, while supplies last. Visitors will also have the chance to win prizes between doubles and singles action from Babolat. With the change in venue, the free tacos from Salsa Limon and live music has been cancelled.
The Horned Frogs (2-3) will be making their first appearance in Fort Worth since earning a 4-2 win against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in the home opener on Jan. 25. TCU rides into the weekend after earning a 4-3 road victory at Alabama on Feb. 5. Freshman Facundo Lugones has won his last two singles matches.
Texas Tech (4-2) climbed two spots to become the No. 22 team in the country in the latest Campbell's/ITA Team Rankings after picking up a 4-3 win over No. 25 San Diego on Feb. 4. The Red Raiders' eight-man roster includes seven upperclassmen, highlighted by senior Gonzalo Escobar, who is currently listed as the No. 23 singles player in the nation.
There is still a chance that the Frogs' match against Santa Clara on Sunday could be played outside.
No. 49 Santa Clara comes into the weekend with a 3-2 record and will battle SMU Friday before heading into the match with TCU Sunday. The Broncos jumpstarted the 2012 season with three straight wins over UC Santa Cruz, UC Davis and Boise State, before dropping their last two matches against Stanford and Fresno State.
