Air Force hosts Mountain West foe San Diego State this Sunday, March 25 at 12 p.m. The match will be played at Lifetime Fitness Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.
 
AIR FORCE HEAD COACH DAN OOSTERHOUS
Air Force head coach Dan Oosterhous is in his third season as the men's tennis coach after being named the program's 12th head coach on October 1, 2009. Oosterhous, a 1993 graduate of the Academy, replaced legendary head coach Rich Gugat, who retired after 36 years at the helm of the men's tennis program.
Oosterhous led the Falcons to a 10-14 record last season and has a 28-35 career mark. Last season, he coached the Falcons to a 6-1 victory over service-academy rival Army and Lance Wilhelm and Andy Jackson to a No. 7 doubles ranking in the Mountain Region. Wilhelm is currently ranked 17th in the Mountain Region in singles.
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Falcons went 2-1 in thier three matches at home last week. Air Force dropped a 6-1 decision to Utah on Monday, March 12, with junior Lance Wilhelm winning the No. 1 singles match and Wilhelm and freshman Grant Taylor capturing the No. 1 doubles match.
Later in the week, the Falcons routed South Dakota State and St. Louis University, each by a 7-0 score. Air Force swept all 18 matches and won 11 of the 12 singles contests in straight sets
 
WILHELM NAMED MW PLAYER OF THE WEEK
With his perfect 6-0 record last week, Lance Wilhelm was named the Mountain West Men's Tennis Player of the Week. Wilhelm is 19-7 overall in singles play and 12-4 at the No. 1 spot.
