March 26, 2012

SAN DIEGO - The No. 55 San Diego State men's tennis team looks to win its third straight match on Tuesday when it faces off with Denver University. The non-conference tilt is set for a 1 p.m. PT start at Gates Tennis Center.

SDSU is coming off a weekend where it opened Mountain West play with a 4-3 victory at Air Force. The Aztecs picked up the doubles point and then notched three wins in singles play to clinch their 11th win of the dual-match season and first in league play.

The No. 49 Pioneers, meanwhile, are 9-8 on the year and just had their six-match winning streak come to an end after a 4-3 loss to No. 47 Rice on Friday.

San Diego State holds a 2-0 advantage in the all-time series against Denver. The Aztecs defeated the Pioneers, 5-2, when the teams last met in April of 2005.

After its matchup with Denver, SDSU (11-4, 1-0 in Mountain West play) will travel to Boise, Idaho to face No. 42 Boise State. The MW tilt is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. PT on Thursday at Appleton Tennis Center.
