LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV sophomore standout Ace Matias finished a career-high No. 109 in the nation as the final national and regional ITA College Tennis Rankings were released Wednesday.

Matias, who transferred to UNLV from Utah, took over the top spot in the lineup early in the season and never looked back, compiling a 24-8 overall record and sporting the best dual-match mark in Mountain West play -- 5-1 -- among all No. 1 players in the league. He closed at No. 5 in the Mountain Region while teammate Gilad Berman was No. 16 after posting an 18-5 singles record as a freshman.

As a team, the Rebels were No. 5 in the Mountain Region. In doubles play, Matias and Bernard Schoeman (20-11) were No. 7 and Johannes Markel and Tamas Batyi (18-7) finished at No. 10.
