Falcons Add Two to Program with Class of 2016
July 13, 2012
Air Force men's tennis coach Dan Oosterhous announced today the two players that will make up the Falcons' class of 2016. Jack McCullers (San Marcos, CA) and Andrew Parks (McKinney, TX) arrived for Basic Cadet Training on Thursday, June 28, marking the beginning of the four-year journey to become officers in the United States Air Force.
"We're adding another talented class to the men's tennis team," said Oosterhous. "More importantly, we have added two fine young men that will make great Air Force officers."
For the third consecutive season, the freshman class of AF men's tennis team has been recognized by the premier junior tennis ranking website, tennisrecruiting.net, as having one of the nation's top mid-major recruiting classes.
Air Force returns 10 of 11 players from last year's roster, only graduating Mike Tope, who will return for the fall season as a graduate assistant before starting pilot training in 2013. The Falcons will also have a new assistant coach for the 2012-13 campaign as assistant coach Chris Williams accepted the head women's tennis coach position at Bradley University.
