LAS VEGAS - Junior guard Danika Sharp scored 25 points and dished out seven assists as No. 9 Nevada defeated No. 8 Air Force, 80-66, in the opening round game of the 2013 Reese's Mountain West Women's Basketball Championship at the Thomas & Mack Center.

The Wolf Pack (8-22) moves on to Thursday's quarterfinal round with the victory and will play No. 1 San Diego State (24-5) at Noon PT. The Falcons end their season with a 4-26 record.

Tied at 49 with 11:58 remaining in the game, the Wolf Pack outscored the Falcons 31-17 the rest of the way. In addition to Sharp's 25 points, sophomore center Mimi Mungedi scored 18 points and Aja Johnson chipped in 13.

Nevada had six players pull down at least five rebounds, led by Mungedi and Johnson with six apiece. The Wolf Pack out-rebounded the Falcons, 45-32.

Junior guard Cherae Medina led Air Force in scoring with 17 points and was one of four Falcon players to finish in double figures. Senior guard Alicia Leipprandt, who moved into seventh place on Air Force's all-time career scoring list with 1,247, scored 16 points. Jimi Blagowsky finished with 12 points and Austyn Wilson added 11.
