LAS VEGAS - San Diego State senior point guard Chelsea Hopkins set a new Mountain West Women's Basketball Championship single-game record with 14 assists as the top-seeded Aztecs defeated No. 9 Nevada 67-39 in a quarterfinal matchup.

San Diego State (25-5) advances to Friday's semifinals with the victory. They will take on the winner of No. 5 New Mexico (16-13) and No. 4 UNLV (12-18), with a Noon PT start.

The 14 assists for Hopkins is also a personal-best. She assisted on the Aztecs' first 12 made field goals and finished the contest with four points, six rebounds and four steals.

San Diego State (25-5) opened the game on a 19-0 run and never trailed in the contest. Senior guard Courtney Clements and sophomore forward Erimma Amarikwa each scored 15 points to pace the Aztecs, who led 32-18 at halftime.

Danika Sharp and Mimi Mungedi each scored 10 points to lead the Wolf Pack, who end their season with an 8-23 record.

Amarikwa and Mungedi led all players with 10 rebounds apiece, as both finished the game with a double-double.
