New Mexico drops to No. 8 Georgia 72-42

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Sara Halasz score 14 points and Caroline Durbin scored 12 and had nine rebounds for New Mexico. But no other Lobos player scored more than seven, and the Lobos lost 72-42.

Jasmine James had 17 points and six steals for Georgia.

The Lady Bulldogs (7-0) held New Mexico to 29 percent shooting and forced 24 turnovers. The Lobos (5-1) had just 15 field goals for the game.

Jasmine Hassell scored 15 for Georgia, which carried a 40-17 lead into halftime. Reserve Merritt Hempe had nine rebounds.

Georgia led 20-5 lead 10 minutes into the game.
