Air Force Hosts New Mexico on Pack the House Night

The Air Force women's basketball team wraps up the first half of its conference slate this Wednesday, Feb. 6, as it hosts New Mexico in a 7:00 p.m. contest. Falcon fans are invited to come out and "Pack the House" against the Lobos.

Series History: New Mexico leads, 31-2
Last Season: Air Force and New Mexico split a pair of contests last season, with the Lobos capturing a 67-44 victory in Albuquerque, while the Falcons posted a 52-47 win at the Academy in the regular-season finale.
Pack the House/3-2-1 Night - All fans are invited out to Clune Arena to "Pack The House"; in addition, there are $3 tickets, $2 hot dogs and $1 drinks.
LAST TIME OUT...
League-leading San Diego State pulled away in the second half, as the Falcons dropped a 68-46 road game to the Aztecs on Saturday afternoon. Senior Alicia Leipprandt led Air Force with a game-high 18 points, while classmate Dymond James added 11 points and eight rebounds.
SCOUTING THE FALCONS...
Air Force enters this week's contest with a 2-18 overall record and 1-6 mark in the Mountain West, following its loss to San Diego State on Saturday.
Senior Alicia Leipprandt is the Falcons' leading scorer with 12.2 points per contest, while classmate Dymond James is the team's next best scorer with 8.9 ppg. James is also Air Force's leading rebounder, each averaging 7.1 boards per game, while junior Cherae Medina leads the Falcons with 3.3 assists per contest.
SCOUTING THE LOBOS...
New Mexico currently holds an 11-9 overall record and 3-4 mark in the Mountain West. The Lobos are coming off a 69-66 road win at Nevada.
Senior Caroline Durbin leads the Lobos with 11.9 points per game, while Deeva Vaughn adds 10.1 points per contest.
A TALE OF TWO HALVES...
Air Force had a strong showing against San Diego State in the first half of its game on Saturday, holding the Aztecs to 31 percent shooting from the field and outrebounding SDSU, 22-16. The Falcons went into the locker room trailing 26-20, following a three-point buzzer beater by the Aztecs' Chelsea Hopkins.
Meanwhile, San Diego State took control in the final stanza, shooting 60.7 percent from the field and holding a 20-8 advantage on the boards. The Aztecs led by as many as 23 points before taking the 68-46 victory
