Cowgirl Basketball Faces Tough Road Contest Against Fresno State

The Wyoming women's basketball team will look to earn the season sweep against the Fresno State Bulldogs, on Saturday, Feb. 16. The game is set to tip-off at 3:00 p.m. MT in Fresno. Live stats and audio can be found at www.gowyo.com.
The Cowgirls are currently 19-4 overall and 8-2 in MW play after a one-point win, 66-65, over the Nevada Wolf Pack Wednesday night. They are also on a six game winning streak dating back to January 23. Four of five starters are averaging double-figures led by Chaundra Sewell. She is averaging 15.2 points and a league leading 9.7 rebounds. Kayla Woodward follows closely with 14.7 points and 6.2 rebounds while Kaitlyn Mileto is adding 12.8 points. Senior Ashley Sickles is chipping in 11.1 points and 5.5 boards as well.
Wyoming is first in the league in scoring offense (72.9 ppg), rebounding margin (+8.6) and assists (16.1 aspg). They are also shooting 601-1312 (.458) from the field and 146-380 (.384) from beyond the arc. Both rank first in the league. In Mountain West games, they are first in scoring offense, rebounding margin, assists and field goal percentage, second in free throw percentage and scoring defense.
FSU enters the week with a 16-7 overall record and an 8-2 mark in the MW. Last time out, the Bulldogs defeated New Mexico 51-50. They are led by Ki-Ki Moore who is averaging a team high 16.4 points and 6.3 rebounds. Rosie Moult follows with 12.5 points and 4.7 boards. They return four starters and seven letterwinners to a team that went 28-6 overall, 13-1 in the WAC and made it to the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
This will be the 18th meeting between the two schools. Wyoming leads the series 9-8. The last time the two teams met was Jan. 16, 2013 as Wyoming defeated Fresno State, 78-71, in Laramie. The Bulldogs are coached by Raegen Pebley who is in her first season with the program.
