Last MW Road Game For Lady Rebels

Feb. 25, 2012

Thanks to their current three-game win streak, the Lady Rebels have moved into a tie for second place in the Mountain West along with Colorado State, and look to hold onto that spot when they face Air Force in Colorado Springs on Saturday afternoon at 1 pm (PST) at 1 pm in Clune Arena. This is the fourth pink game UNLV will play in this year, and the third straight the Lady Rebels will wear full pink jerseys for.

A win would at the least keep UNLV in a tie for second, heading into a showdown next week with CSU in the regular season finale for both teams in Las Vegas. UNLV is looking to record a fourth consecutive sweep of a conference opponent, after successfully completing sweeps over TCU, New Mexico and Boise State. The Lady Rebels won the first meeting against the Falcons by a 63-47 score in Las Vegas, and that was without the services of senior forward Lenita Sanford, the current MW Player of the Week.

A win on Saturday would also give UNLV five MW conference road victories, tying for the most in school history, along with the 2003-04 season. That team would finish 10-4 in league play, a feat UNLV could match if it ends the regular season with two straight wins.
