SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State women's basketball team looks to clinch at least a share of the Mountain West regular-season title on Wednesday when it plays host to New Mexico at Viejas Arena. Game time is set for 7 p.m. PT.
With three dates left in the regular season, the Aztecs (12-1) own a two-game lead over Fresno State (10-3) and a three-game spread over Wyoming (9-4) in the league standings after winning its 12th in a row last Saturday with a 58-45 triumph at Nevada.
A victory Wednesday would give SDSU at least a share of its third regular-season title in the 14-year history of the Mountain West. The Aztecs were outright winners a year ago at 12-2 and co-champions with Utah at 13-3 during the 2008-09 campaign.
