The top-seeded San Diego State women's basketball team will take on No. 5 seed Wyoming in the first of two semifinal games Friday at the 2012 Conoco Mountain West Basketball Championships. The contest will tip off at noon PT at the Thomas & Mack Center on the campus of UNLV in Las Vegas, Nev.

-SDSU Head Coach Beth Burns: Burns (Ohio Wesleyan, 1979) is in the seventh year of her second stint as at San Diego State. She led the Aztecs for eight seasons from 1989 to 1997, before returning in 2005. She has an overall head coaching record of 347-243 in 20 seasons, while she is 266-178 in her 15 campaigns at SDSU.
-Wyoming Head Coach Joe Legerski: Legerski is in his ninth season at Wyoming. He has a school and career head coaching record of 172-106.

-Series History: San Diego State swept the regular-season series, winning in San Diego, 56-45, on Jan. 24, and in Laramie, 68-55, on Feb. 21, for the first time since 1997. The Aztecs own a 2-1 advantage in Mountain West championship history, but the Cowgirls have the edge in the all-time series at 24-20.
