Nevada Faces Top-Seeded San Diego State Thursday

The ninth-seeded University of Nevada women’s basketball team (8-22, 2-14 MW) will face the
top-seeded San Diego State Aztecs (24-5, 15-1 MW) in the quarterfi nal round of the 2013 MW
Basketball Championships Thursday afternoon at the Thomas & Mack Center. Tip-off is scheduled for

San Diego State claimed both wins in the two regular season meetings between the schools by
single digit margins. Danika Sharp just missed a double-double in the Jan. 23 match-up, with 15
points and nine rebounds. Emily Burns was close as well, fi nishing the game with 12 points, nine
rebounds, and six blocks. The Aztecs enter postseason play riding a 15-game winning streak. San
Diego State’s last defeat took place on a Jan. 9 home loss to Fresno State. Courtney Clements leads
the team with 17.6 ppg. Nevada trails the overall series 3-5. The last time the Wolf Pack defeated the
Aztecs came in a 63-61 decision in Reno during the 2010-11 season.

All 16 games of the 2013 Mountain West Basketball Championships will be broadcast live from
