The Fresno State Bulldogs host Washington State Friday evening at 7 p.m. in the Save Mart Center.
For Fresno State, Friday’s game is its second of a stretch where it plays three games in five days. It is also a start to a four-game homestand before the ’Dogs hit the road for six consecutive games on the road during the Christmas break. The homestand ends on Saturday Dec. 8 when the ’Dogs host CS-Northridge.
This is Fresno State’s second game of four games against Pac-12 teams this season. The ’Dogs opened up the year with a 72-61 loss against Stanford, who is currently the No. 1-ranked team in the nation. Fresno State hosts USC on Dec. 5 and plays at Oregon on Dec. 16.
The Bulldogs are coming off a 66-56 loss at Pacific on Wednesday. Fresno State shot just 29.9 percent in that loss to the Tigers, who remained undefeated with the win.
“We have a lot of basketball to play here in the short term,” head coach Raegan Pebley said after the loss at Pacific. “We got some great opponents and we are going to learn a lot about ourselves as a team and we are going to keep working to improve.”
Junior guard Ki-Ki Moore scored 20 points for the Bulldogs in the loss at Pacific. She has scored in double figures in all four games this season and is set to face her former team Friday in Washington State.
Fresno State is 2-0 at home this season where it averages 73 points per game and shoots 42.4 percent from the field.
► Fresno State is 6-2 all-time against Washington State and 4-0 at home. This is the first meeting between Dec. 9, 2004 when the Bulldogs won 65-61 at the Save Mart Center.
