TCU Wins The Central District Invitational

PARRISH, Fla. -- TCU women's golf rallied from a two-stroke deficit entering final-round play Tuesday to win the Central District Invitational.
With an 18-over-par 882, the 44th-ranked Horned Frogs edged No. 25 Oklahoma by one shot for the title. TCU also finished ahead of three top-10 teams (No. 5 Vanderbilt, No. 6 North Carolina and No. 7 LSU).
It's the 14th tournament title for TCU in the 18-year tenure of head coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin.
Beeler shot par on 14 holes Tuesday. The senior from Butler, Ill., was 1-under-par in the final two rounds to finish 12th individually.
McCoy, a freshman from Carrollton, Texas, birdied her opening hole Tuesday. She was even par over the final two rounds and tied for 13th.
Sanna Nuutinen was TCU's top finisher, tying for sixth. The sophomore from Helsinki, Finland, was 3 over through five holes Tuesday before shooting par the final 13 holes.
Nuutinen, who finished at 2-over 218, was six strokes behind medalist Chirapat Jao-Javanil of Oklahoma, who carded a 4-under 212.
TCU freshman Alexandra Bonetti birdied her opening hole en route to a 76. The Paris, France, native tied for 28th.
Rachel Raastad shot a final-round 78 for TCU.
All five Horned Frogs tied for team-high honors with two birdies on the day.
TCU returns to action March 2 at the Darius Rucker Invitational in Columbia, S.C.
