Prichard Finishes tied for Fourth at Mountain West Championship

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. – Sophomore Nikki Prichard finished her first Mountain West Championship tied for fourth place.

Prichard shot a five-over 77 in the final round and finished the tournament with a nine-over 225 and two shots out of first place. This is Prichard’s second Top-5 finish of the season.

Freshman Carly Simpson finished her first collegiate championship tied for seventh after shooting a three-under 69 in the final round. Simpson finished with an 11-over 227 for the tournament. This is Simpson’s first Top-10 finish of her collegiate career.

Senior Louise Yi carded a three-over 75 in the final round and finished in 21st with a 19-over 235. Freshman Caryn Khoo finished tied for 24th while sophomore Bethany Wurster finished tied for 29th.

As a team Nevada shot a nine-over 297, the second lowest round of the tournament. Nevada finished in fourth place with a 58-over 922, and four shots behind Fresno State.

UNLV won the tournament with a 40-over 904. New Mexico’s Manon DeRoey won the individual race with a seven-over 223.
