Nevada Ninth After First Day of Oregon State Invitational

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Senior Louise Yi shots 72-76 and is seven shots off the lead after the first day of the Oregon State Invitational on Monday.
Yi leads a Nevada team that is ninth at the 16-team event heading into Tuesday’s final round. Sophomore Nikki Prichard opened with a 77 but came back with a 74 in the second round and is tied for 26th. Freshmen Caryn Khoo (T-44th) and Carly Simpson (T-51st) and sophomore Bethany Wurster (T-66th) round out the Wolf Pack after the first day.
Nevada shot a 608 as a team in the first two rounds and finds itself two shots behind eight-place Boise State and four back of NAU. Washington is running away with the team race at 11-under with four Huskies among the top five individually.
The final round at Trysting Tree Golf Course is scheduled for Tuesday.
