Fresno, Calif.-- After the second, 18-hole round of the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown, the Bulldogs moved to 10th place out of 18 teams on Monday, Oct. 22. The Fresno State women's golf team shot 22 over par for a total score of 310 (311-310--621).

Madchen Ly (78-72--150) finished even par and leaped from her tie in 49th place to a tie in 13th place. Ly lead the Bulldogs today with three birdies.

"Madchen did a great job today," head coach Angie Cates-Moore said. "She got off to a rough start with a triple on her first hole and battled back with three birdies. Her putting average for the week is 28, which is outstanding. It was a four club wind at times today and to shoot even par was very impressive."

Shaylee Yano shot four over par (78-76--154) and finished day two of the three-day tournament in a tie for 36th place.

For the second day in a row, the Bulldogs competed against the wind as gusts reached 35mph in Las Vegas, Nev. The scoring average for the field increased to 78.25.

The Bulldogs tee off their final round of the fall season at 7:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 23. Follow the Bulldogs on www.golfstat.com.
