TCU Women's Golf To Open Its Spring Season

FORT WORTH, Texas -- The 33rd-ranked TCU women's golf team opens its spring season Sunday at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.
The Horned Frogs recorded a top-eight finish in all four fall tournaments.
TCU will be playing in the Lady Puerto Rico Classic for the seventh time in eight seasons. The Horned Frogs were eighth at last year's event with Rachel Raastad tying for 16th individually.
Twelve of the 15 teams in this year's Lady Puerto Rico Classic field are ranked in the top 50, including No. 7 Oklahoma State, No. 10 LSU and No. 11 Georgia. Sunday's opening round at the par 72, 6,191-yard River Course at the Rio Mar Beach Resort (Greg Norman design) begins with a 6 a.m. CST shotgun start. Live scoring is available at www.Golfstat.com.
Tardy, a freshman from Martin High School in Arlington, Texas, will be making her collegiate debut for the Horned Frogs.
While Tardy is playing in her first tournament, the other four Horned Frogs played in all four fall tournaments.
Nuutinen, last year's Mountain West Freshman of the Year, has a team-best 74.3 stroke average. Beeler is second with a 74.6 mark. Nuutinen and Beeler rank fourth and fifth, respectively, in the MW in stroke average.
Nuutinen has a team-best three top-20 finishes in four tournaments this season.
Bonetti, a freshman from Paris, France, has a 76.1 stroke average with Raastad at 76.3. Bonetti and Raastad rank 15th and 17th, respectively, in the MW.
