FRESNO, Calif. ---The Fresno State soccer team fell 2-0 to the No. 7/9 Oklahoma State Cowgirls Sunday morning at the Cowgirl Soccer Complex in Stillwater, Okla.

The Bulldogs held the nationally ranked Cowgirls scoreless for the first 15 minutes of the game until Oklahoma State's Carson Michalowski was fouled inside of the box setting up a penalty kick. Michalowski put the ball in the back of the net and the Cowgirls up 1-0. Five minutes later Megan Marchesano increased the Cowgirls lead and recorded her sixth goal of the season with a shot from 10 yards out to the far post. The 'Dogs recorded six shots in the first 45 minutes with five of those coming from senior Callie Hancock.

In the second half neither team was able to capitalize on the scoring chances. Hancock again led the Bulldogs with three shots on goal in the second half but was unable to get the ball past the 2011 NCAA leader in shutouts and goals against average in OSU senior Adrianna Franch. The 'Dogs produced more offense in the second half leading the shot count 13-4 over the Cowgirls.

Goalkeeper Katie DeVault recorded three saves on the morning, moving her total for the season to 54.

The 'Dogs return for a two game home stand in Bulldog Stadium on Friday, Sept. 21 against CSU Bakersfield at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 23 against Cal Pol at 1 p.m.
