'Dogs Play to Draw in Reno

FRESNO, Calif. ---The Fresno State Soccer team played in its school record tying seventh overtime game this season Sunday afternoon in Reno, Nev. The Bulldogs and Wolf Pack played to a 0-0 tie.

"Today we did the job we needed to away from home for Nevada's Senior Day," said head coach Brian Zwaschka. "Under tough conditions we got a result that ensures our place in our first ever Mountain West Tournament. Nevada was a tough opponent and I am proud of our effort today."

Both squads played an evenly matched contest with each team recording 14 shots on the afternoon. Fresno State goalkeeper Katie DeVault made six saves and Nevada had seven. One area that the Bulldogs dominated was in corner kicks. Fresno State had 10 corners in comparison to Nevada's four.

With one game remaining in Mountain West play, the Bulldogs have secured a spot in the Mountain West Tournament.

The 'Dogs will honor seniors Vanessa Gonzalez and Callie Hancock in their last home game as a Bulldog in Bulldog Stadium on Oct. 27 at 6 p.m.
