Cowgirl Soccer Announces The Addition Of Wyoming Product

LARAMIE, Wyo. - University of Wyoming head soccer coach Pete Cuadrado on Thursday, announced the addition of Wyoming student-athlete Marcia Ashdown, who will join the Cowgirls in the fall of 2012.

"We are excited to get a home-grown Wyoming student-athlete to join our program," Cuadrado said. "We are looking forward to getting Marcia to Laramie and see how she can help this team."

Ashdown, a native of Riverton, will join the Cowgirls as a very accomplished player from Riverton High School after earning all-state honors three-consecutive years. As a junior, she earned first team all-state and all-conference. As a sophomore for the Wolverines she led the state in scoring, while earning both first team all-state and all-conference accolades. Her freshman year she also excelled on the pitch earning first team all-conference and second team all-state. She has also excelled in the classroom at RHS being a member of National Honor Society and the RHS Leadership Program.
