Fox & Patterson Named Madness MW Preseason All-Conference

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force women's soccer placed two players on the College Sports Madness 2012 Mountain West Preseason All-Conference Team. Sophomore McKenna Fox and senior Stephanie Patterson were named preseason all-conference.

Fox, a midfielder from Alpine, Utah, was named to the first team. Fox is Air Force's returning leading scorer, scoring seven goals as a freshman, the most by a Falcons since 2001. She also notched Air Force's first hat trick since 2001. Fox was the lone rookie to start all 19 matches for the Falcons last season.

Patterson, a forward from Versailles, Ky., was named to the second team. Patterson is a three-year starter and leads all returning Falcons with 10 career goals and 12 assists. Patterson has started in 50 of 54 career games played.

Air Force opens regular season play this Friday, Aug. 17, hosting Lamar.
