Locker Earns Conference Player of the Week Accolades

SAN DIEGO - San Diego State sophomore forward Haley Locker has been named Mountain West Player of the Week, CollegeSportsMadness.com announced on Monday. College Sports Madness identifies the highest impact players nationally and from each conference.
The Ferndale, Wash., native helped lead SDSU to a 4-0 start for the first time in 16 seasons and just the second occasion overall in program history. The Aztecs picked up a 1-0 victory against Saint Francis on Wednesday and then notched a 2-0 win against Seattle U on Friday.
In the match vs. Saint Francis, Locker notched the game-winner in the 79th minute to lead SDSU to victory. Against Seattle U, meanwhile, the sophomore tallied her team-leading third goal of the season in the opening minutes of a 2-0 victory. On the season, Locker has a shot-on-goal percentage of .750 along with one game-winner.
The Aztecs wrap up their five-game home stand on Friday with a showdown against No. 8 Pepperdine at the SDSU Sports Deck.
