Albuquerque, N.M. --- The University of New Mexico women's soccer team has non-conference play behind itself, and after a solid 6-4-1 mark despite one of the toughest schedules in recent memory, UNM will now embark on a third consecutive Mountain West title. The first hurdle comes in the form of the Boise State Broncos, who visit the UNM Soccer Complex on Friday night at 6 p.m.

UNM will be attempting to keep alive a streak of 14 staight conference matches without a loss (10-0-4) and 10 straight home matches without a loss (8-0-2).

NEW MEXICO AT A GLANCE: New Mexico is 6-4-1 on the season, having won six of its last seven matches, making UNM one of the league's hottest teams. The Lobos have recorded three consecutive shutouts and the teams has a current scoreless streak of 312:06. UNM also has four shutouts in the last five matches.

Rachel Montoya leads the way with 10 points on four goals and two assists, while Jordan Craig has three goals and an assist for seven points. Defender Liz Nare, who had no career points entering her junior season, is in third on the squad with a goal and three assists for five points each. Her three assists lead the team.

Kelli Cornell has played every minute in goal, recording four shutouts and 27 saves along with a 0.97 goals against average.

BOISE STATE AT A GLANCE: The Broncos are 5-6-1 overall, 4-1-1 at home and 1-4-0 on the road. Like the Lobos, Boise State has a 1-0 home win over New Mexico State. The Broncos got a 1-0 win in their last outing, a win at Penn. Shannon Schueren leads the team with five goals and two assists for 12 points. She is tied in assists with Lauren Hickok and Mandy Nador. Maddy McDevitt has a 1.59 goals against average and three shutouts. Boise State has scored 16 goals and allowed 20. COACH VELA: The Lobos are led by Coach Kit Vela, who is in her 12th year at New Mexico and carries a 97-85-39 record into the Husker Classic.

LOBOS TO WATCH: Liz Nare was named the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week for the second straight week, recording an assist on the winning goal against UC Davis, and playing solid defense as UNM has now recorded shutouts in four of its last five games.

Kelli Cornell has four shutouts in her last five games, and has lowered her GAA to 0.97.

Stephanie Rowe scored a pair of goals on Sunday and is now second on the team with three goals. UNM offensively have gotten contributions from all over the place, as eight different players have scored, and in three of the last six, a different Lobo has scored a pair in the game.

ALL-TIME VS. BOISE STATE: New Mexico is 2-0-0 all-time against Boise State, with both meetings coming in the last two years. In 2010, UNM defeated Boise State 1-0 in Missoula, Montana, and last year UNM defeated the Broncos in Boise 2-0. The meeting on Friday will be the first meeting between the two programs in Albuquerque

DOWN THE ROAD: Shock of shocks but UNM goes on the road for three games, facing off with Nevada (October 7, 2 pm), Fresno State (Oct. 12, 8 pm) and UNLV (Oct. 14, 2 pm).
