Conference Play Starts Saturday

The UNLV women's soccer team, riding a seven-game win streak, will open Mountain West conference play this weekend when it hosts Wyoming on Saturday at 1 pm. Tickets are 2 for 1 for the game at Peter Johann Memorial Field. The Rebels' win streak is a new school record and the sixth-longest in the nation, while UNLV is ranked No. 50 this week by TopDrawerSoccer.com.
All About The Rebels
UNLV (8-2-1) has already tied last year's total win mark, and looks to claim win number nine on Saturday. UNLV is also 8-0 all-time against Wyoming in Las Vegas. The Rebels are paced by junior forward Jenn Wolfe, tied for eighth in the nation with nine goals and tied for second with game-winning goals with five. Senior midfielder Macy Jo Harrison meanwhile has six assists on the year, which ranks her 12th in the nation.
The Cowgirls bring a 7-3-1 mark into Saturday's opener. Wyoming has played only three games away from its home field this season, wins at Weber State and Northern Colorado, and a tie at Utah State in its last outing on Sept. 23. The Cowgirls are paced by Sara Paul, who leads the nation in assists with 10.
