Back In The Rankings

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - After a two week absence, the UNLV women's soccer has returned to the regional rankings are the Rebels are ninth in this week's NSCAA Pacific regional rankings which were released on Tuesday. That's the highest ranking for UNLV since a No. 8 spot in the Sept. 16, 2008 ranking.

UNLV made the move after a 1-1 weekend, which included a 2-0 win over New Mexico, snapping the Lobos' 17-game unbeaten conference streak, while the loss was by a 2-1 score to seventh-ranked San Diego State. The Aztecs would move up one spot to sixth in the nation after the win over UNLV. The Rebels continue to be ranked in the top 50 by TopDrawerSoccer.com as well, coming in at No. 49 in this week's rankings. It's the third straight week UNLV has been ranked by TopDrawerSoccer.com.

The Rebels will be on the road this weekend with a pair of road games, beginning with in-state rival Nevada, Reno on Friday at 7 pm, and followed by a Sunday, 12 pm (PST) contest at Boise State in Idaho.
