Mountain West Announces 2012 Softball Television Broadcast Schedule

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Mountain West announced its 2012 softball television schedule today. Four nationally-televised games are on this season's slate, with three games to air on The Mtn. - MountainWest Sports Network (The Mtn.) and one to be shown on CBS Sports Network (CBSSN).

The Mountain West will begin its 13th season of softball competition on Thursday, February 9, with San Diego State taking on Texas Tech in opening-round action at the Kajikawa Classic in Tempe, Ariz. Conference play commences on Friday, April 13, with UNLV at Boise State and Colorado State at San Diego State.

Fans can get a preview of the race for the 2012 Mountain West title with the "MW Softball Preview Show," which will air Friday, April 6 at 7 p.m. MT on The Mtn.

The Mtn. is carried nationally by DIRECTV (Channel 616) and is available through numerous cable operators throughout the country. CBS Sports Network is also widely available on cable systems across the country and via satellite on DIRECTV (Channel 613) and Dish Network (Channel 152).
