Softball to Host "Pink Game" Saturday vs. Utah St.

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State softball team's game against Utah State at 4:30 p.m. PT Saturday will be its annual "Pink Game" to raise awareness for breast cancer.

The Aztecs will be wearing its special pink uniforms, which will be auctioned off at the end of the game. All fans are encouraged to wear pink to help SDSU strike out breast cancer.

Swing for Life Inc., based out of Salt Lake City, Utah, is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research. Since 2002, Swing for Life has provided the opportunity for youth from across the state of Utah to gain awareness of and knowledge about breast cancer, and to participate in the community service project to raise funds for breast cancer research. Teams of all levels across the United States have teamed up to help.

On Saturday, Swing for Life will have a table and a tent set up during the game where you can gain knowledge about their research, donate or purchase "pink" goodies.

The "Pink Game" on Saturday is a part of the San Diego Classic I, a four-day, 22-game tournament. San Diego State will play Brigham Young at 6 p.m. PT tonight, Long Beach State at 7 p.m. PT Friday, Utah State in the "Pink Game" at 4:30 p.m. PT Saturday and No. 12/10 UCLA at 2 p.m. PT Sunday.
