At 13-2 overall, New Mexico has matched the 1984 squad for best start in program history. This week, the Lobos entered the Top-25 polls for the first time since being ranked No. 20 on May 12, 1999, coming in at No. 24 in the USA Today/NFCA poll.

Notables:

  • Five of San Diego State's eight losses this season have been by one run. Overall, the Aztecs are 4-6 in one-run contests this season.

  • Three of Colorado State's four wins this season have come against left-handed pitchers.

  • Boise State pitchers have thrown four shutouts this season. Prior to 2012, the Broncos had never held an opponent scoreless in the month of February. Three of those shutouts have come from Aubray Zell, one shy of the single-season school record she set last year.

  • Six New Mexico batters are hitting .300 or better, while nine boast an average of .262 or greater.

  • Colorado State has scored seven or more runs in six of its 15 games this season.

  • New Mexico defeated No. 16/14 Texas A&M, 15-3, last Friday, becoming the first team in nearly two years to run-rule the Aggies.

  • Just 15 games into her Boise State career, sophomore outfielder Tara Glover is already rewriting the school's record book. She has tied the school's single-season and career records with two triples, while her five stolen bases is tied for ninth on the program's single-season chart.

  • New Mexico batters have recorded 31 home runs this season, with seven different players hitting at least one. The Lobos have recorded at least one home run in 12 of their 15 games in 2012 with a season-high five against Bryant on Feb. 17.

  • Boise State's Christina Capobianco hit her 33rd career home run in Friday's 7-1 win over Cal Poly, tying the program's all-time record.
