Time changes have already been announced for this weekend's San Diego Classic II, SDSU head softball coach Kathy Van Wyk said today.

Because of the impending weather and planned changes in schedule, San Diego State will not be selling tournament passes. Single day passes will still be sold as usual.

The Aztecs (16-14) are still scheduled to play five games over the tournament, which is co-hosted by USD. As of 12:30 p.m. PT Wednesday, SDSU is now slated to play Harvard at 6 p.m. PT Thursday (instead of 7 p.m. PT) and Purdue at 9 a.m. PT Friday (instead of 7 p.m. PT). Non-San Diego State games are also affected on Friday, which can be viewed in the updated PDF of the tournament schedule.

Tune into GoAztecs.com throughout the weekend for changes and cancellations to the schedule or visit the tournament website at http://goaztecs.cstv.com/sports/w-softbl/spec-rel/2012-san-diego-classic-2.html.

The Aztecs are coming off a 4-1 win over Quinnipiac on Tuesday night where senior Bailey Micetich (Woodland, Calif.) and redshirt junior Rebecca Arbino (Clovis, Calif./Texas A&M) combined for a two-hitter.

Micetich (7-3) tossed four innings of hitless ball without surrendering a walk, while striking out six. The only Bobcat (9-5) to reach off Micetich was via an error in the top of the second inning. Arbino, meanwhile, allowed two hits (both singles) over the final three innings, while striking out three to pick up her third save of the season.

Senior Justeen Maeva (San Diego/Mira Mesa HS) was a perfect 3-for-3 with the homer to lead the SDSU offense, while redshirt sophomore Patrice Jackson (Kansas City, Mo.) homered, walked and drove in two runs. Sophomore Hayley Miles (Antelope, Calif.) singled in the third to extend her hitting streak to 11 games (and also her reaching base streak to 17 games) and scored her team-leading 30th run of the year, and junior Tiffany Corder (San Clemente, Calif./UC Santa Barbara) singled and scored San Diego State's other run.

Miles leads the offense in almost every single offensive category, including games started (30), runs (30), hits (36), doubles (12), triples (1, tied), total bases (68), walks (13) and on-base percentage (.458), and also has six home runs and 18 RBIs as the leadoff hitter. Sophomore Lorena Klopp (San Diego/Steele Canyon HS) leads the team in home runs (8), RBIs (22) and slugging percentage (.810), despite missing seven games due to injury and illness, while senior Felicia Reifschneider (San Diego/Morse HS) has a team-high eight stolen bases.

Arbino (7-6, 1.74 ERA, 88.1 IP) and Micetich (7-3, 2.14 ERA, 72.0 IP) have logged the bulk of the pitching duties for the Aztecs, who are 7-1 at home this season.

Assuming the weather cooperates, SDSU will also host Quinnipiac (2 p.m. PT) and Valparaiso (4:30 p.m. PT) on Saturday, and Long Beach State (2 p.m. PT) on Sunday.
