COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado State junior third baseman Chelsea Biglow and San Diego State senior righthander Rebecca Arbino have been selected Mountain West Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, for games through March 31. This is the second MW weekly award this season for Arbino, and fourth of her career. It is the first career MW weekly award for Biglow.

Biglow, a Tigard, Ore., native, led the Rams to a three-game sweep of UNLV last weekend. The third baseman hit .556 (5-for-9) at the plate in three games and drove in a team-high eight runs. She had three extra-base hits; one double, triple and home run. Biglow notched a 1.222 slugging percentage on the weekend and added a pair of walks to finish the series with a .636 on-base percentage. She also scored five runs as the Rams tallied 35 runs for the series. Defensively, Biglow was sharp at the hot corner as she compiled a perfect (1.000) fielding percentage with six putouts and eight assists, including five in the Rams' 2-0 victory over the Rebels in the series opener on March 28.

Hailing from Clovis, Calif., Arbino led the Aztecs to a three-game sweep over New Mexico, picking up the win in all three contests. She registered a 0.54 ERA over 13 innings of work, while holding the Lobos to a .173 batting average over the three-game span. Arbino tossed a complete game in the Aztecs' 4-1 win on March 28. She allowed just one run on six hits and two walks, while striking out seven. Arbino pitched two innings of relief on March 29 and recorded four more strikeouts to pick up the win as San Diego State scored five runs in the sixth inning for a 5-0 victory. In the series finale on March 30, she tossed four scoreless innings and struck out six, while only allowing two hits and two walks as the Aztecs won, 1-0.
