Softball Teams Up With First 5 of Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State softball team and First 5 of Fresno are teaming up for a book drive that will benefit children in the Valley.

The `Dogs and First 5 of Fresno will be collecting books on April 12 before the first game of the series against Boise State. Fans who donate books on Friday night will receive free admission to the game.

A second book drive will be held on May 10 prior to the Fresno State baseball game against New Mexico.

First 5 Fresno County is an advocacy organization that invests resources and supports efforts to improve the lives of children ages 0-5 and their families. First 5 Fresno County was created in 1998 when California voters passed Proposition 10, "The Children and Families Act."
