Weather forcing changes to CSU softball schedule
April 17, 2013
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – A spring storm that has dropped as much as a foot of snow on the Northern Colorado region has caused changes to the Colorado State softball schedule for the upcoming week.
The Rams were scheduled to play four games this week, beginning with a trip to nearby Greeley, Colo., this afternoon for a single game against the Northern Colorado Bears, and culminating with a three-game home stand, Friday-Sunday, with Mountain West foe Fresno State at Ram Field.
The game between the Rams and the Bears, the second matchup for the in-state rivals this season, will now be played on Wednesday, May 1st at UNC’s Butler-Hancock Softball field.
Friday’s opener of the conference series vs. Fresno State has also been postponed, with the hopes that all three games, including a double header, can be played over the weekend. No definite schedule has been set for the series between the Rams and the Bulldogs at this time.
