Riding the momentum of a season-long seven-game winning streak, the San Diego State softball team plays host to Cal State Fullerton in a non-conference game at 6 p.m. PT Wednesday at SDSU Softball Stadium.

The Aztecs (25-19) are coming off a 4-0 week on the road with a win at San Diego on Wednesday and a three-game sweep at Mountain West opponent New Mexico on April 20-22.

SDSU sophomore Hayley Miles (Antelope, Calif.) picked up two national awards (Louisville Slugger Division I National Player of the Week and the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Week) and was named the MW Player of the Week for her efforts. Over the four games, Miles batted .727 (8-for-11) from the leadoff spot with five home runs, eight RBIs and 10 runs. She finished with a slugging percentage of 2.091, while adding seven walks (one intentional) and a hit by pitch for a .842 on-base percentage. Three of the five home runs led off the game in consecutive contests at San Diego (April 18) and the first two games at New Mexico (April 20-21). She was also perfect in 21 fielding chances at shortstop. Miles has now reached base safely in 31 straight games.

Senior Justeen Maeva (San Diego/Mira Mesa HS) (.588, 3 2B) and sophomore Lorena Klopp (San Diego/Steele Canyon HS) (.412, 3 HR) each drove in six runs apiece, while senior Felicia Reifschneider (San Diego/Morse HS) and freshman Kayla Jordan (San Diego/Bonita Vista HS) each scored four runs and combined for three stolen bases.

Junior Rebecca Arbino (Clovis, Calif.) was named the Mountain West Pitcher of the Week after going 2-0 with a 1.75 ERA over 12 innings and two appearances against the Lobos. The right-hander struck out five and walked two, while limiting UNM to a .217 batting average. New Mexico came into the weekend with a .309 average and led the nation with 66 home runs.

Miles, who has started all 99 games since she arrived on campus and already owns eight single-season records and four career marks, is batting .432 with 14 home runs, 36 RBIs, 49 runs, 15 doubles, 25 walks, a .871 slugging percentage and .518 on-base percentage. She is ranked among the top 25 nationally in five categories, including slugging percentage (10th), doubles per game (T-11th, 0.34), runs per game (12th, 1.11), home runs per game (T-23rd, 0.32) and batting average (25th).
